Fog’s Secrets

A transparent moon watches
Reflecting currents of azure
As the foghorn blows.

Reverberating sound waves
shudder tower walls
That a girl perches atop.
Eyes screwed tightly shut
Feet step off
Preparing to meet finality.

But stillness never comes
For sweet fog catches
soaring body
In warm embrace.

A transparent moon watches
Silent with eternal secrets
As the fog rolls away
As the horn stops blowing
And as the girl walks back home.
